Using Medical Equipment

Studying to be a doctor or a nurse take a long time as the human body is a complex machine that can take years to fully understand. While the medical students are studying they also have to learn about the medical equipment. mud cleaning machine can be very large and complex. Some machines can be a struggle to fully understand and use.
Each hospital has numerous pieces of medical equipment, which specialise in a certain task. Each one is needed to help or diagnose a patient, which is other wise hard or impossible to do with the human hand. There is also a health and safety aspect to these machines. Yes they can help heal a patient but they can also be very dangerous. X-rays are a prime example of this. The person operating the machine has to be protected from the radiation as he could be exposed to a small amount each day, which would be a large build up after working 30 years in that job. There are also health risks for the patient. So understanding how to work the machine is only one part, operating it safely and without risk is another.
Other medical equipment isn't as complex but a student still needs to understand how they work. Centrifuges are simple machines that rotate samples but they don't just work with the click of button.
With some machines the hard part is understanding the readings that the produce. ECG machines monitor the heart and they print out an interpretation of how your heart is functioning. To the untrained eye this could look like a piece of paper with some jagged lines on it but to, where in fact each line represents a movement of the patients heart.
Medical equipment used correctly and safely can safe lives and improve patients health and that is why it does take a while for a fully qualified doctor to be trained.
